Weekend MBA Curriculum

Learning that inspires breakthrough thinking

  • Analysis: You will gain experience using analytical models and tools that you will apply immediately on the job. You will learn to distill information from data, interpret results and make sound decisions from a senior management perspective.
  • Strategy: You will learn to develop strategies that look beyond next quarter, next year, and even the next generation to build sustainable teams and organizations. Some courses focus on functional areas, such as marketing or operations, while others expand your perspective of the whole organization within a global context.
  • Leadership: You will enhance your leadership skills through a full-circle process of learning, practice, feedback and reflection. You also will sharpen your communication skills and create a personal Professional Development Plan (PDP) to shape your leadership skills — and your career.

Core courses

The Weekend MBA begins with core courses that form a common foundation for you and your peers. You will build your leadership and team skills as you complete projects with your study team. Your study team will include peers from different professional backgrounds, so you'll benefit from diverse perspectives and real-world team dynamics. To maximize productivity, the Weekend MBA program blends in-person learning with asynchronous, online coursework — providing more time for meaningful discussion and shared perspective with faculty and your peers during class weekends.

Elective courses to customize your MBA

During the final 10 months, you will select at least 11 elective courses from 20 or more offered during weekends, evenings or online, including the option to participate in global opportunities such as Global Entrepreneurship Lab. Select courses that will help you climb the corporate ladder, shift to a new career focus or build a business. Or choose a concentration to gain depth in one of four areas: finance, marketing, strategy and leadership, or strategy and entrepreneurship. Few top executive MBA programs offer more curriculum flexibility.
