Evening EMBA students

Schedule

Earn an MBA that Integrates into Your Life and Career

The Evening Executive MBA is designed for working professionals who live close enough to Chapel Hill to attend classes once a week. The structure provides built-in motivation to keep moving forward to your goals, along with the flexibility to maintain your work and life responsibilities.

Maximized Productivity

Evening MBA elective courses are taught in a format that blends in-person and online coursework. Each course meets in-person four times, usually on alternating Monday evenings—although some electives may be held on a different weeknight. Evening students are also able to take Weekend Executive MBA elective offerings for an $800 course fee or Online MBA (MBA@UNC) electives for no additional cost. Both Weekend MBA and Online MBA electives are available to Evening MBA students on a space available basis. Evening MBA students may also take advantage of global immersions and experiential learning practicums.

Immersion Weekends

During the Evening MBA program, you’ll participate in two dynamic immersion weekends: Orientation and Leadership (held at the end of the core curriculum). These intensive weekends give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in distraction-free learning experiences and create deeper bonds with your classmates. Partners are also invited for special activities and social events early in the program so they can familiarize themselves with the environment and your classmates, and meet other partners and spouses.

Convenient Weeknight Classes

During the first year you’ll take core courses that meet on Monday evenings from 5:30 – 9:50 pm, including breaks. In the second year, you’ll have access to many electives to customize your MBA and target the skills you need to achieve your career objectives. Evening MBA electives meet either Monday or one other weeknight from 5:30 – 9:45 pm. Elective courses comprise a significant portion of your total program credit hours—nearly 40%—which is unique compared to other part-time and Executive MBA programs.
