I graduated from Michigan State and post graduation joined a leadership development program that moved me every eight months for two years giving me the opportunity to live in three different states! I’m an engineer by degree but spent my pre-MBA career doing a variety of supply chain management related roles. I have done everything from M&A to Vendor Management to Project Management to Risk and in a variety of industries. In my MBA I’m planning to do a dual concentration in Managing People and Organizations and Corporate Finance. Hello! I’m Abdur Rahman, an international student hailing from Pakistan. I completed my undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the GIK Institute. After graduating, I ventured into the Oil & Gas sector, where I worked as a drilling consultant, collaborating on projects spanning Pakistan and the Middle East.
Currently, I am pursuing my MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler with a focus on concentrations in Consulting and Operations Management. I also did the STAR consulting project focused on sustainability in my first year. This past summer I had opportunity to intern at EY Parthenon in their Washington DC office.

Hey there! My name is Dan and I’m originally from just outside Philadelphia, PA (Go Birds). I completed my undergrad degree at Wake Forest University where I studied Communications, Entrepreneurship, and Theater. After graduation, I moved to Raleigh, NC where I worked in the digital advertising industry at both a large media company and small teaching startup in a variety of client-facing roles. In addition to my career, aside from my career, I worked as a professional stage performer and standup comedian. After working for over seven years, I realized that my business education was incomplete, so I decided to come back to school and pursue my business degree at “The Nicest MBA in the Country” to facilitate my career shift.

Hello! My name is Eric Wang. I hail from Taiwan and completed my undergraduate degree at National ChengChi University, majoring in economics. Before embarking on my MBA journey, I accrued six years of valuable work experience in operations, global supply chain management, marketing, and sales within the chemical industry. During this time, I served as a Business Operations Director for my family’s chemical distribution business in the Greater China region, with rotations in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Xiamen. In this role, I facilitated the delivery of plastic raw materials from suppliers such as Dupont, Toray and Nan-YA to clients across diverse industries, including electric vehicles (EV), semiconductors and connectors.
At UNC Kenan-Flagler, I am currently focusing on concentrations in Marketing and Operations management. I am actively exploring opportunities in both consulting and marketing roles through dual recruiting.

Hi! I’m Fatima Salau, an international student hailing from Lagos, Nigeria. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in economics earned in Nigeria. Over the past six years, I’ve gained diverse experience in the commercial banking sector, holding various positions within the finance and strategy group.
I began my banking career as a financial regulatory reporting analyst, responsible for preparing Sterling Bank’s financial reports for regulatory bodies such as the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Subsequently, I transitioned into a management reporting role, utilizing financial data analysis to assist management in making well-informed decisions. Finally, I served as an investor relations officer, fostering relationships with the bank’s shareholders, credit agencies, and investment communities. Currently, I am focusing my studies on Corporate Finance at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, based on my future goal of heading the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Hello! My name is Hong (Rosy) Nguyen, and I am an international student from Vietnam. I completed my undergraduate studies in International Business in Vietnam. After graduating, I began my career in Shopper Marketing at Unilever. While working on digital transformation and product solutions for B2B and hundreds of thousands of household businesses in the traditional channel, I realized the immense power of technology in providing meaningful solutions on a larger scale. That’s why, after three years, I made the pivot to Fintech. Working in the Growth and Marketing Center of a tech unicorn in Vietnam provided me with the opportunity to develop my growth strategy for millions of users. I am excited about the curiosity and growth mindset that have led me to discover my passion for data and my desire to pursue a career in the technology field.

A SoCal guy at heart, I was born in Lima, Peru and immigrated to San Diego, Calif. at the age of seven. I received my degree in Biotechnology from Cal Poly and upon graduating, returned to Los Angeles/Orange County where I bounced around the Biotech and Biopharma industry through a couple of Quality, Product Development and Regulatory roles. After five-plus years in the industry, I wanted to expand my reach within Healthcare and pivot to the commercial and marketing side, which is why I decided to pursue an MBA. I knew Kenan-Flagler was going to be the best place to get me to my career goals through the action-based approach to learning, collaborative student body, as well as the proximity to Big Pharma, Biotech Start-ups and Consulting offices in the Research Triangle.

Hola! I’m Jose Velazquez, an international student from Venezuela. I kick-started my professional journey with a dual-degree program where I earned a Bachelor’s degree from Tec de Monterey (Mexico) and a Master’s degree from Macquarie University (Australia), both in International Business. Afterwards, I joined Johnson & Johnson within their Finance Leadership Program and eventually pivoted to Corporate Banking. Most recently, I was the Sales Finance Controller for Mexico at Dell.

Hello! My name is Landon and I’m originally from Minnesota. I went to the University of Minnesota for my undergrad, where I pursued a degree in Economics. From there I was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army where I would spend the next six years bouncing around the United States. I first served as a Field Artillery Officer stationed in Hawaii, getting to lead soldiers in artillery operations all around the Pacific. Following my time in Hawaii I then moved to Fort Bragg, NC where I became the senior intelligence officer for an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) organization. In 2022 I chose to get out of the military and pursue my MBA at Kenan-Flagler, pivoting into a career in corporate finance. This past summer I was fortunate to intern at PwC as a Senior Associate working in their Deals Transformation practice working specifically on M&A due diligence.

I have always been passionate about healthcare. I worked at a clinical research office while obtaining my Master in Public Health from the University of South Florida in Tampa. After graduating, I began working for a healthcare technology company that specialized in medical record data auditing – in a program management role where I helped healthcare organizations build their HIPAA privacy and compliance programs. My extensive involvement with my clients and my company’s growth initiatives sparked my desire to attend business school. I’m Nithish, an international student from Chennai, India. I went to the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, for my undergrad, where I pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating, I began working at ZS Associates as a Business Analyst and later with Tiger Analytics as a Big Data Engineer. I worked closely with retail, media, and technology companies – I developed data analytics strategies and built data products for them! I pursued my MBA to augment my hard and soft skills, cultivate a rich network of like-minded professionals, and switch my career function to Technical Product Management. I interned as a Tech Product Manager with Amazon’s Selling Partner Finance Tech team this past summer, where I launched a FinTech product that detects underbilled vendor agreements for the items procured by Amazon Retail and collects the missed funding.

I studied Accounting at Crawford University, Ogun State, and started my career within the consumer-packaged goods industry where I focused on corporate finance. Closer to business school, I pivoted to the telecommunications industry and continued working in corporate finance. In my quest for growth and career advancement, I decided to pursue an MBA at Kenan-Flagler Business School, with a focus on consulting and corporate finance. This past summer, I spent my time as an intern at McKinsey & Company and will be heading back after graduating from business school. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and socializing. Hi, I’m Yeonseo Koo, but I also go by Judy. I’m an international student from Seoul, Korea. I graduated from Princeton University, where I studied in the School of Public and International Affairs and participated in research projects on topics ranging from media studies to international organizations to foreign investment. After graduation, I stayed at Princeton to work in various aspects of student affairs including but not limited to campus space management, campus life events coordination, student committees advising, and an expansion project for the student-run coffee shop. In addition, I spent some time doing market research for a small business right before joining the Kenan-Flagler community. At Kenan-Flagler, I plan on pursuing a concentration in consulting and business analytics.
