Hong Nguyen

Hello! My name is Hong (Rosy) Nguyen, and I am an international student from Vietnam. I completed my undergraduate studies in International Business in Vietnam. After graduating, I began my career in Shopper Marketing at Unilever. While working on digital transformation and product solutions for B2B and hundreds of thousands of household businesses in the traditional channel, I realized the immense power of technology in providing meaningful solutions on a larger scale. That’s why, after three years, I made the pivot to Fintech. Working in the Growth and Marketing Center of a tech unicorn in Vietnam provided me with the opportunity to develop my growth strategy for millions of users. I am excited about the curiosity and growth mindset that have led me to discover my passion for data and my desire to pursue a career in the technology field.

Currently, at UNC Kenan-Flagler, I am focusing on concentrations in Consulting and Technology & Innovation Management. I am actively pursuing opportunities in both consulting and technology roles.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about the application process, the UNC/Chapel Hill community, or anything else you might have in mind!

John Viboch Pasco

A SoCal guy at heart, I was born in Lima, Peru and immigrated to San Diego, Calif. at the age of seven. I received my degree in Biotechnology from Cal Poly and upon graduating, returned to Los Angeles/Orange County where I bounced around the Biotech and Biopharma industry through a couple of Quality, Product Development and Regulatory roles. After five-plus years in the industry, I wanted to expand my reach within Healthcare and pivot to the commercial and marketing side, which is why I decided to pursue an MBA. I knew Kenan-Flagler was going to be the best place to get me to my career goals through the action-based approach to learning, collaborative student body, as well as the proximity to Big Pharma, Biotech Start-ups and  Consulting offices in the Research Triangle.

If you want to discuss making the pivot from hard science/technical background into business, post-MBA careers in Healthcare, moving to ACC country from the West Coast, Diversity Recruiting, or any nagging questions: drop me a line.
