UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School

Global OneMBA Curriculum

Please note that UNC Kenan-Flagler exited the OneMBA consortium in fall 2018. For more details on its new U.S. partner, please see the press release.

Innovative global MBA curriculum

Unlike other global MBA programs, the OneMBA curriculum was designed with equal input from the international partner schools, incorporating business practices and issues affecting each world region. No culture or perspective dominates, which provides you with a broad and balanced worldview.

Global residencies to established and emerging economies

You will join students from all OneMBA partner schools for four weeklong global residencies held on four continents, where you will visit established and emerging countries. The local partner school will be your host as you participate in classes taught by local professors, visit regional and multinational companies, and meet local business and government leaders. OneMBA residencies are updated each year, so locations and activities may change.

Global core and regional courses

Five global core courses are taught simultaneously at each OneMBA partner university. Faculty members from all OneMBA partner schools work together to incorporate perspectives and best practices from each world region. Each course includes a major project that requires working remotely with your global team.

UNC OneMBA students complete the OneMBA curriculum with 7 of the best courses from UNC Kenan-Flagler. These regional courses have been proven to accelerate career success for UNC MBA graduates.

Global teams mirror global business

For each global core course, you will complete global projects with multicultural team members from around the world. Your global teams will meet in person during global residencies. Between residencies, the team collaborates remotely using email, conference calls and Web-based conference tools.

Electives to broaden your education

OneMBA students have the opportunity during the final class module to choose from elective courses offered to OneMBA and other Executive students in Chapel Hill or to complete their electives via the MBA@UNC format. This allows OneMBA students to not only customize their education, but also widen their network of fellow Executive MBA students. After graduation, OneMBA students can keep their MBA current by continuing to take elective courses in Chapel Hill for a nominal fee.
