Full-Time MBA students are able to serve on advisory boards, a unique leadership opportunity.
Full-Time MBA students on the Alumni Affairs Advisory Board help develop opportunities to strengthen the relationship between current students and alumni. In close partnership with the Alumni Affairs office, the Advisory Board hosts programming and events for Tar Heels to connect.
The Curriculum Advisory Board helps to facilitate a strong working relationship between students, faculty, and administrators. Board members work on strategic initiatives to improve the overall educational experience at UNC Kenan-Flagler.
UNC Kenan-Flagler partners with several organizations that support MBA students before and throughout their MBA journey, providing career-building resources and networking connections.

Access is the only free MBA admissions resource committed to breaking down barriers, and making expert admissions support available to all. Access members can tap into advice, test prep, career services and application resources created by MBA admissions representatives.
UNC Kenan-Flagler is a member of The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management. The Consortium is committed to advancing inclusion in the world of business and offers full-tuition, merit fellowship awards, as well as reduced application fees and pre-MBA programming to set you up for success as an MBA student.
Consortium members and fellows are also invited to join The Consortium at UNC Kenan-Flagler, allowing you to tap into a tight-knit community of other students and alumni.
We are a premier partner with Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), which provides programs that benefit individuals who lack access to career accelerating resources. MLT offers career coaching, networking, and recruiting resources, along with personalized guidance and effective tools to successfully navigate the business school application process and optimize your MBA experiences.
Many Full-Time MBA students attend the competitions and conferences hosted by the National Black MBA Association and Prospanica, and we also host a local collegiate chapter of the National Black MBA Association.
Students who attend these events receive preparation support from our expert MBA Career Services team, including mock interviews, workshops on conference management, and advice on effectively engaging with industry experts and alumni.
UNC Kenan-Flagler is a member of the Forté Foundation which brings together major corporations, top business schools, and influential nonprofits. Forté is open to all MBA applicants and students who support their mission of inspiring women to pursue leadership careers in business.
Forté offers the opportunity to connect with top business schools, network with corporate sponsors, and attend the Forté MBA Women’s Leadership Conference. All students are automatically considered for a Forté Fellowship.
JumpStart Advisory Group strives to connect high-performing MBA students seeking careers in finance and consulting with organizations interested in recruiting a rich applicant pool. Full-Time MBA students have access to interact directly with corporate decision-makers as well as helpful resources for the job placement process.
The Robert Toigo Foundation is a one-year program for graduate students focused on finance. The Foundation offers services to deepen your quantitative skills, expand your network, and present a strong resume to corporate recruiters. Students are also able to apply to merit-based fellowships through the Foundation.
UNC Kenan-Flagler has been a partner of Reaching Out MBA for more than 10 years. ROMBA is the largest organization of LGBTQ+ business students, offering programs dedicated to educating and connecting members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Each year, our admissions team selects up to two ROMBA Fellows.
The UNC Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Center (LGBTQ Center) works to foster a welcoming and inviting environment at UNC-Chapel Hill. The Center offers educational programs, community building and support resources to students of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.
UNC Kenan-Flagler is a proud partner of the MBA Veterans Network, a professional networking and advocacy organization that connects military veteran students and alumni of top-ranked universities with employers who value their unique academic credentials, leadership skills, and career potential.
Veterans are provided access to financial aid options, in addition to GI Bill® benefits and Yellow Ribbon programs, as well as tailed career coaching and recruitment opportunities.
The Carolina Veterans Resource Center serves and supports student veterans and military-affiliated students at UNC-Chapel Hill. The Center is a central location where students can find information and begin to build a community to support them during their journey as Tar Heels.
