If you’re considering the Full-Time MBA Program at UNC Kenan-Flagler, congratulations. It’s an investment that is certain to pay dividends for your career. To help reduce your investment, we offer fellowship awards to exceptional applicants. In fact, nearly 50% of UNC Kenan-Flagler students receive some fellowship assistance.
We award fellowships most often to students with:
You don’t need to apply separately for UNC Kenan-Flagler fellowships. Every applicant to the Full-Time MBA program is automatically considered for fellowships during the admissions process and candidates will be notified at the time of admission if selected for an award. Fellowships are awarded for the duration of the 2-year program (as long as fellowship criteria is met), and no new fellowship awards are given to students in the second year of the program.
Premier fellowships, the most prestigious awarded to students in the Full-Time MBA Program, provide full annual tuition and fees, a $5,000 stipend, and inclusion in a fellows-only resume guide.
In addition to premier fellowships, UNC Kenan-Flagler awards fellowships that cover full tuition and fees. We consider academic distinction, exceptional work experience, and other personal qualities when awarding Full Tuition Fellowships, which are open to students of all citizenships and academic backgrounds.
Each year, we also offer partial-tuition fellowships, which are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and, often, specific career goals.
We award a number of MBA Veterans Scholarships, which help cover expenses other than tuition and fees, such as housing, board, books, and computers. Get more information for veteran applicants.
Each year, the Fellowship Selection Committee selects talented students for the prestigious Vetter Dean’s Fellows Program.
The Vetter Dean’s Fellows Program offers unique opportunities for students to grow professionally and personally while deeply engaging with and contributing to the UNC Kenan-Flagler community. Vetter Fellows participate in special events and leadership development programming throughout the year, including an incoming student retreat, a fully-funded global learning experience, small group discussions with leaders and special guests of the business school, intimate events with recruiters, and a professional development stipend. All students selected as Vetter Fellows also receive partial to full fellowship support in recognition of their achievements and potential.
If you are interested in becoming a Vetter Dean’s Fellow, you may apply for consideration as part of your application for admission. Vetter Fellows candidates will be notified when they receive their admissions decision.
