I have held various corporate finance roles over the past six years, starting in Corporate FP&A in the insurance industry and more recently working as Finance Manager for a B2B SaaS company. Hi, I’m Mrunalini!

I’m from Visakhapatnam, India, and spent seven years building technology solutions before coming to UNC Kenan-Flagler, most recently as a software engineer at JPMorgan Chase. Over time, I realized that the questions I found most exciting weren’t just about how to build something, but why we should build it, who we’re building it for, and how technology can solve a bigger business problem. That curiosity ultimately brought me to business school and is shaping my path toward strategy consulting and product management.

Moving across the world for my MBA has been a big adventure, and one of my favorite surprises has been how quickly the UNC Kenan-Flagler community and Chapel Hill began to feel like home. I’ve always enjoyed building communities and helping others find their footing, which is a big part of why I’m excited to be a Student Ambassador.

Outside the classroom, you’ll usually find me planning my next trip, experimenting with Indian and global recipes, finding a new hiking trail or occasionally picking up a paintbrush.

Hi, I’m Linh Vu! I was born and raised in Vietnam and I’ve always been fascinated by complex systems, social work and business: How does the government work? How can we improve social mobility in Vietnam? How does the money flow in the developed world? Development research was where my three passions married. I spent two years designing, managing and supporting nine large-scale research projects spanning 10+ provinces across Vietnam. Development research taught me to be flexible and interdisciplinary (as social impact interests changed rapidly from topic to topic); diplomatic and tactical in order to liaise with people of all statuses and backgrounds; and humble and empathetic.

When USAID got cut and the whole field faced funding scarcity, I realized how unprepared I was in terms of finance and capital knowledge. That realization motivated me to pursue an MBA – not just any MBA, but one that stressed innovation, impact and inclusivity, values I held dear to my heart. UNC Kenan-Flagler was a natural fit for me, given its similar core values. So far, being here has been the best decision in my life, as I’ve been welcomed by a like-minded, super smart and supportive community. To pay it forward for all the love and help I receive, I am honored to be a Student Ambassador at Kenan-Flagler this year.

Hi, my name is Max! I’m originally from New England and spent the past several years in Seattle before moving to North Carolina to pursue my MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler. Prior to business school, I worked in commercial real estate valuation, where I evaluated more than $1.6 billion of properties across a wide range of asset classes and markets. Through that experience, I developed a strong foundation in real estate analysis and became especially interested in the investment and development decisions that shape a project from the beginning.

As I think about the next step in my career, I’m hoping to transition to the ownership side of commercial real estate, with a particular interest in development and investment. I enjoy combining quantitative analysis with a broader strategic perspective and am excited to apply that skill set to evaluating opportunities, developing business plans and ultimately bringing projects to life.

Outside of work and school, I’m an avid cyclist, golfer and traveler, and I am always looking for an excuse to get outdoors. Hello, I’m Ashna! I spent the last few years working in India’s fintech industry, and I loved the pace of it – things changed quickly, the problems were rarely predictable and there was always something new to figure out. That experience made me realize that I was most energized by stepping back from the day-to-day and thinking about the bigger picture: where a business should go, what problems are worth solving, and how to make those decisions. That curiosity brought me to UNC Kenan-Flagler, where I’m now  exploring a path into strategy.

One of my favorite things about Chapel Hill has been something I didn’t expect to appreciate so much: how calm it is. After years working in a fast-moving environment, I’ve loved having a quieter place to come home to. I also love food, so I’m slowly working my way through the places around Chapel Hill and figuring out my favorites.

Hi, I’m Ronny Munoz. I grew up in Sleepy Hollow, New York, and attended Siena College, where I studied accounting. I started my career in EY’s Audit practice, focusing on wealth and asset management clients. From there, I joined Deloitte’s M&A Financial Due Diligence team, where I gained exposure to the deal process from pre-sale EBITDA analysis through post-close integration work. Over time, I realized I was especially interested in the valuation, modeling and strategic side of deals, which is what led me to Amynta Group. I saw that role as an opportunity to continue building my technical foundation while preparing for business school and, ultimately, for a transition into finance. Those are the reasons I’m at UNC Kenan-Flagler.

Outside of business school and work, I’m an avid salsa dancer who has performed at various stages in the United States. I spent my Labor Day weekend performing at the New York International Salsa Congress, which is one of the biggest stages I’ve performed on so far.

Hi! I’m Erika and I’m currently pursuing my MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler after spending eight years working as a registered nurse. I spent several years working in critical care, infusion and outpatient specialties, and I also worked as a travel nurse. Those opportunities gave me the chance to work in many different healthcare environments across the country. I came to UNC to combine my clinical expertise with business education and transition into healthcare consulting. Choosing UNC Kenan-Flagler was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my career and personal growth. I was drawn to UNC  because of its strong reputation, collaborative culture and particularly its focus on healthcare and the Research Triangle. As someone transitioning into healthcare consulting, I’ve appreciated how many opportunities there are to connect my clinical experience with business education. The UNC Kenan-Flagler community has been incredibly welcoming, and I’ve been impressed by how genuinely invested students, faculty and staff are in one another’s success.

Outside of the classroom, there are countless opportunities to get involved, build relationships and explore interests through clubs, career programming, and the broader UNC community. I’ve also loved being part of a cohort where everyone brings such different professional and personal experiences to the table. While an MBA can certainly be challenging, I’ve found that UNC provides a supportive environment where you’re encouraged to push yourself while still having ample support. Hi there, I’m Terry! I was born in Seoul, South Korea, but I grew up in Centreville, VA. I graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2019 and have been serving in the Coast Guard ever since. During my time at the Academy, I majored in Marine Environmental Sciences with concentrations in Chemistry and Physics. My career has taken me all over the world, with my most recent assignment being in the Middle East. I’ve had the opportunity to sail across the Atlantic Ocean from Connecticut to Dublin, Ireland, and have visited over 15 countries, including Africa, Europe, South America, and the Middle East.

When I was looking for schools to pursue my MBA, UNC Kenan-Flagler stood out to me because of the supportive community and the vast array of resources it offers. The supportive environment at Kenan-Flagler is similar to the family environment I’ve experienced in the military. despite not having a strong financial background, the support i received from both my classmates and professors has been invaluable during my MBA journey. They have helped me grasp complex concepts and apply them to real-world situations. I’ve also learned that the professors not only focus on academic excellence but also on developing us into well-rounded professionals after graduation.

I’m a first-year MBA candidate at UNC Kenan-Flagler. I’m also the photographer and filmmaker behind my personal brand, StephanoCreates, for which I’ve spent the past few years building a freelance creative business producing content for tech brands. Before business school, I spent nearly six years as a nurse, most recently in the Cardiac ICU at UNC Health. I saw firsthand the everyday challenges and frustrations nurses face on the floor. That time working in healthcare is what brought me to UNC Kenan-Flagler. I came to build real business fundamentals around healthcare innovation, explore medical devices and healthcare marketing, and figure out how to turn my clinical background and creative instincts into something new.
