Master core business skills while gaining fluency with emerging and high-impact trends in domestic and global business. Choose from an ever-evolving array of electives. Select an area of emphasis that aligns with your interests and goals. The business major is about preparing you for the career you want.
Business majors are driven to achieve, so we designed our degree to deliver the coursework you need to succeed while allowing enough space for you to pursue your other academic interests. We know the design works because nearly 60% of our business majors are double-majors/minors.
Prior to admission to the business major, you will work on completing general education requirements, which apply to all UNC students, and prerequisites for admission to the major, many of which satisfy general education requirements.
You may choose to complete up to two areas of emphasis (AOE) as part of your major. AOEs give you the chance to customize your degree based on your interests and desired career trajectory.
If you are a current UNC student who is ready to pursue a business degree, your next step is to learn about the application and admission process.
