Each year, fifteen top students are selected from each of the three universities. These students form a cohort and will move through the TREBLE program together.
At UNC Kenan-Flagler, we are looking for students who have a strong academic record, interest in other cultures and international business, leadership potential, ability to work in team environments, and willingness to serve as UNC ambassadors.
Criteria for evaluation of TREBLE applications include:
Prior international experience is not required, and you do not need to speak a foreign language to participate in the program.
You may apply during the fall of your sophomore year only. Admission is based on the Undergraduate Business Program application for the Business Administration Major, an additional TREBLE essay, and a separate TREBLE finalist interview process. Please note that the TREBLE application deadline may be slightly earlier than the Undergraduate Business Program application deadline.
Selected students will be notified during the fall semester. New TREBLE participants will enroll in three business core courses and one business elective in the spring semester as prerequisites before going abroad.
You will spend one semester at each of the three partner universities, starting with an immersive week of welcome for all TREBLE cohort students before the semester begins at UNC. The comprehensive global curriculum consists of two courses from each institution, designed to focus on business leadership and provide insight into each school’s region and specialization. Courses are taught by distinguished faculty and are only available to TREBLE Program students.
