Latin America

This Global Immersion Elective will inform your global business knowledge, expose you to issues of leadership and allow you to gain international project-based experience through a virtual immersion in Latin America.

The course is intended to improve your understanding of key macro-environmental differences across Latin America and the development of the necessary skills for effective cross-cultural communications and global business management outside of the United States.

During the program, you will have the opportunity to virtually explore Costa Rica, Argentina, and Chile. We will meet with executives from all three countries to learn more about their industries. Additionally, students will participate in two business challenges – one in Argentina and one in Chile – that will allow you to wrestle with a real business problem and present solutions and understand the user/customer experience.

During the week, we’ll also have opportunities to delve into Costa Rican, Argentinian, and Chilean cultures through a virtual cooking classes, a virtual team puzzle and a graffiti tour in Argentina, a banana plantation tour in Costa Rica, and a tango class. We’ll also engage with local students in Argentina.
