  • Academics

    Credit information for KFBS students

Students will take 20-30 ECTS each semester, and the majority must be taken at the Quinn School of Business. Most courses are worth 5 ECTS. A list of available modules can be found on their website.

Each student participating at UCD for a study abroad semester is required to take a special course focusing on Irish History and Culture.

Courses taken at UCD will transfer back to UNC Pass/Fail. Achieving a grade of C or above will transfer back to UNC as a pass course, which will not affect UNC GPA. Students who receive any grade under C will fail the course and an F grade will transfer back to UNC, which will affect their UNC GPA. Though transfer credit for this program is Pass/Fail, future employers and graduate schools will also look at the UCD transcript, so grades are important.

Students participating on this program will transfer back 3 UNC credits for every 5 ECTS course at UCD, and are expected to take 20-30 ECTS during the semester. A student who passes all courses will earn a total of 12-18 UNC credits for their semester abroad. Full-time enrollment on this program is defined as at least 12 UNC credit hours.

This program also fulfills Experiential Education and you will earn points towards the Kenan-Flagler Inclusive Global Leadership Initiative. Full-time enrollment on this program is defined as a minimum of 12 credit hours.« PrevNext »
