Ranking and Reputation

The BestWe're #1 for all the right reasons.

The UNC Kenan-Flagler MAC program is ranked #1 according to LinkedIn's ranking of the Best Graduate Universities for Accounting Professionals. LinkedIn ranked universities based on “how successful recent graduates are at landing desirable Accounting jobs.” That means our alumni work at the best firms. No opinions. Just facts drawn from LinkedIn’s wealth of data.

We're also very proud of our online format, which was recently named the #1 online Master of Accounting program by Accounting.com. And, UNC Kenan-Flagler finished as one of the top-ranked schools with an online Master of Accounting program in U.S. News & World Report's ranking of non-MBA online business programs (and 4th overall). These honors reflects our commitment to delivering an online experience that closely mimics that of our top-ranked on-campus format, with world-class faculty, live classes, and a powerful curriculum.

Beyond the rankings.

A solid ranking is important and we're proud that we're recognized among the nation's top programs. However, there's more to a graduate program than its ranking. Behind the numbers, several important features tell an even richer story about our MAC program:

1. We help our students find the right roles with the right employers.

ALL of the Big 4 and middle-market accounting firms, as well as numerous major corporations, recruit UNC Kenan-Flagler MAC students. Paid internship opportunities are available and, in the end, most students graduate with a signed job offer. In fact, on average, 98% of our students are employed within three months of graduation.

These former students are not only shaping the accounting profession, but they’re also providing valuable advice and assistance to more recent Tar Heel graduates.
