Accountants often provide insight on issues of international significance: tax treaties, trading regulations, supply-chain implications, and transparency in financial management across borders. This is interesting work, and it’s important.
Students in our program can participate in Global Immersions to major business centers in the U.S. and around the world. These events provide outstanding opportunities to observe how business is conducted in international markets, to learn from key business leaders, and to network with your classmates and counterparts. Master of Accounting students travel with students from UNC Kenan-Flagler’s full-time MBA program to participate in the school’s “Doing Business In” courses at partner schools abroad.
Past immersions have traveled to financial centers in unique international destinations, such as Shanghai, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Mumbai, Istanbul, and London, among others. At the immersions, students interact with powerful business executives from some of the largest and most influential companies in the world. Past events have featured speakers from Google, Proctor & Gamble, and Pandora.
