This tuition amount represents the total charges for a student enrolled in 16.5 credit hours during summer based on the tuition rate of $290 per credit hour for NC residents and $560 per credit hour for non NC residents. An individual student’s actual tuition and required fees is
dependent upon her/his actual hours of enrollment.
Tuition and fees are finalized in the summer before each fall term. This is the most current and up-to-date estimate available. This information is provided to assist students in planning and in no way implies the actual charges for the academic year. The University Cashier's Office will bill students for tuition and fees.
A student's total financial aid (scholarships, fellowships, and all education loans) cannot be more than the estimated living expenses plus tuition and fees.
Living expense estimates are based on reasonable cost of living for the Chapel Hill area. Students whose lifestyle choices exceed the reasonable cost of living amounts are responsible for covering those choices through other resources than financial aid.
