COVID-19 MAC Admissions Updates

Program Admissions Updates

Last updated: October 2, 2020

We’re here to help.

During this time, we remain dedicated to the students we serve, which includes our connection to you and your journey. We want you to know that we are here to assist you in any way that we can. Please read the following admissions updates from the UNC MAC program and do not hesitate to contact us directly if you have any questions.

Online January 2021, Online March 2021, Online and On-campus June 2021, Online September 2021 starts.

We know how difficult it’s been to provide test scores due to the closing of test centers. As an alternative, applicants can now submit an alternate test score (SAT/ACT/LSAT/MCAT) to be considered for admission to the program. The test must have been taken within the past seven years.

Email us at or call 919-962-3209 for more information. The Final Application Deadline for January 2021 is November 16, 2020.

Online Format, January 2021 Start

Orientation and Leadership Immersion – Our Orientation and Leadership Immersion (OLI) is one of the important cornerstones of the UNC MAC Program. We strongly believe in the ability for new students to develop as leaders, meet each other, interact with faculty members, and build a strong foundation for their online studies. However, we also recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic has created significant challenges and concerns for everyone in society. Your health and well-being remain our highest priority; therefore, we have made the decision to hold OLI in a live, virtual classroom, from January 8 to January 10, 2021.

On-Campus Format, June 2020 Start

With concern for the health and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff as our top priority, we have made the difficult decision to transition the October term to a 100% virtual format — all MAC classes through December 18, 2020, will be held online. Our program has consistently been at the forefront of virtual learning and we will continue to provide students with the high-quality educational experience they have come to expect. The June 2021 start of the on-campus format is unaffected at this time.

Should conditions at the university change, we will continue to take action in the best interests of our students, staff, and faculty. We will make every effort to keep you informed and notify you of any changes as soon as possible. Please, email us at or call 919-962-3209 for more information.

We thank you for your interest in our program and look forward to connecting with you in the coming months.
