Christopher Wedding’s teaching and professional experience are focused on finance, business strategy and innovation in green real estate and clean energy, including solar, energy storage and electric vehicles.
Dr. Wedding has 19 years of experience in private equity, entrepreneurship, project development, executive education and research. With experience in 19 countries and language abilities in Spanish, Japanese, and Creole, he brings an international perspective to his teaching and private sector practice.
His work has been recognized with national awards from industry leaders
such as the Academy of Management and the U.S. Green Building Council.
He is the CEO of IronOak Energy, a global clean energy finance, advisory and market research firm.
Dr. Wedding is a frequent speaker at regional, national and global finance and energy conferences. He also is a faculty member at Duke University and the Institute for Defense and Business.
His PhD and MS from UNC-Chapel Hill combined studies in business, environmental management and city planning. He graduated summa cum laude with a BS in environmental science from Western Kentucky University.
