Operations

The Operations area at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School is a vibrant group of faculty and PhD students engaged in research, teaching and service.  We impact operational decision-making through rigorous and practice-driven research and teaching.

Our faculty study a range of problems related to the production and delivery of goods and services in the global economy, with emphases on healthcare operations, retail and service operations, supply chain management, sustainability and energy, emerging technologies and human factors.

Our research spans a broad spectrum of analytical and empirical methodologies, and we continually collaborate with academics at other universities and industry partners.

We teach a broad range of courses across UNC Kenan-Flagler’s Undergraduate Business Program and MBA programs. In addition to courses on operations management and supply chain topics, we teach several courses covering topics in business analytics.  We continually revise our courses and offerings to cover the latest emerging technologies and business innovations.
