David L. Dicks conducts research in the areas of corporate finance, corporate governance, contracting and insurance.
His recent research focuses on executive compensation, incentives, and the role of corporate governance regulation.
He owned his own business for five years, and worked as a magician.
Professor Dicks received his PhD from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a BS in economics, mathematics and statistics.
