MBA Dual Degree Students

MBA Dual-Degree Programs

Some MBA students pursue a dual-degree program that combines business education with another graduate program. You can pursue a dual-degree program with one of seven of UNC’s graduate schools or two Duke University programs. A dual-degree program enables you to earn two degrees in less time than pursuing the degrees individually.

How to apply to Full-Time MBA dual-degree programs

You must apply and be admitted separately to each program. Application requirements and admissions criteria vary. MBA dual-degree applicants should consider the following:

  • Standardized testing: The MBA Program requires either the GRE or the GMAT. Please refer to our admissions page for testing requirements and deadlines.

  • Work experience: MBA applicants have an average of five years of work experience post-undergraduate education; however, most successful dual degree applicants have at least two years of work experience post-undergraduate education.

If you’re interested in a dual-degree program with UNC Kenan-Flagler, contact the Admissions team. Learn more about the Full-Time MBA Program and the admissions process at UNC.

Tuition and financial aid

All MBA dual-degree students are required to pay three semesters of full-time tuition and fees to UNC Kenan-Flagler.

Students pay the first two semesters of MBA tuition and fees during the first year of the MBA (fall and spring). After completing the first year of the MBA, students pay the third semester of MBA tuition and fees during their first year of combined study.

Typically, the third semester of MBA charges is paid during the fall semester with the other program charges being paid in the spring semester; however, this can be reversed based on individual student situations related to academics.
