Evening MBA Program Overview

Perhaps you can’t miss work on Fridays. Or overnight stays away from home are not an option. Still, you dream of earning an MBA from a top-tier school. If you live near Chapel Hill, we have the answer. UNC’s Evening MBA is a part-time MBA program that will fit your lifestyle.

UNC’s Evening MBA has all the rigor of a full- time
MBA program

Work full-time, go to school part-time, and earn the same degree as graduates of UNC’s traditional MBA Program. Evening MBA students will earn the same degree as graduates of UNC’s traditional MBA Program. Our Evening MBA curriculum is more concentrated than the traditional MBA. We engage our students in more in-depth classroom discussions to take advantage of their business experience.

UNC’s MBA for Executives Programs are fully accredited by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the premier accrediting agency.

Immediate application of your Evening MBA education

Whether you want to climb within your company, shift to a new career, or build a company of your own, you will gain skills and knowledge you will use right away.

Convenient part-time MBA schedule with more time for family and work

Classes are held Monday and Thursday evenings (6:00 to 9:15 pm) for 24 months. You may choose elective classes offered on other days during the final eight months. There are also two immersion weekends (Friday and Saturday nights) at the beginning and end of the Evening MBA Program.

Evening MBA classmates become a lifelong network

UNC attracts results-driven team players who build lasting relationships. Most Evening MBA students are in their mid-30s with an average of 10 years’ work experience. (Five years minimum is required, with eight preferred.) Most students live within an hour’s drive of Chapel Hill.

Evening MBA is tailored to your career goals

The Evening MBA Program begins with rigorous core courses so everyone has a common foundation. After the first year, you will tailor your MBA to fit your career goals. Select at least 10 elective courses from nearly 30 offered during evenings or weekends. Few, if any, top executive MBA programs offer more flexibility.
