Other tuition information
  • Deposit: Upon acceptance, a $1,500 deposit holds your place in the class. We apply this deposit to your final tuition payment.
  • Flat tuition rate: North Carolina and out-of-state residents pay the same tuition. UNC’s MBA for Executives Programs do not receive North Carolina state subsidies.

Additional expenses

  • PC laptop: You will need a laptop with Microsoft Office 2000 or later version. As a student, you can buy a Gateway or Lenovo computer at a discount through UNC.
  • Some elective courses: Some Weekend MBA and Evening MBA elective courses require an additional cost. These include global immersion and Washington Campus courses.
  • OneMBA transportation to residencies: Tuition does not cover transportation to and from OneMBA global residency sites. However, transportation during the residency weeks is included.

Merit Fellowships

  • Overview: Twelve students admitted to the class of 2010 will be awarded $5,000 Merit Fellowships, which will be applied to their tuition. The fellowships will be given to four students in each MBA for Executives Program: Evening, Weekend, and OneMBA global.
  • Eligibility: If you apply by the deadline below, you will be automatically considered. Fellowships will be awarded based on academic and career achievements, leadership and interpersonal skills and diversity of experience.
  • Fellowship deadline: Your complete application must be received by:
    • Evening MBA Program: March 17, 2008
    • Weekend Program: July 14, 2008
    • OneMBA Program: April 1, 2008

Financial aid

  • Corporate sponsorship: Many companies pay all or part of the tuition. Preparing a request for corporate support may help gain support.

  • Student loans: All students can be considered for student loans to cover tuition for an MBA for Executives Program. UNC Kenan-Flagler has a student loan officer that provides dedicated assistance to MBA Executive Programs applicants. Susan Brooks, or 919.962.9096.
