The Accounting Mentorship Program (AMP) is a remarkable opportunity for rising second- and third-year students from any non-UNC undergraduate institution to receive 1:1 personal mentorship that provides insights into the accounting profession, and preparation for a successful career in business. Delivered by Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG) accountants and the UNC Master of Accounting team, the AMP experience aims to build industry knowledge while helping mentees develop personal and professional skills that will prepare them for graduate school, and the business world. As part of AMP mentees:

  • Develop important professional relationships with DHG associates, the UNC Master of Accounting (MAC) Program admissions team, and with fellow mentees and AMP alumni
  • Experience professional development programming centered on career exploration, building personal brand, inclusive leadership, and more
  • Have early access to recruiters from DHG, and the chance to interview for DHG’s Leadership Conference, which could lead to a paid internship opportunity

At the close of the AMP, mentees also will receive a professional development stipend established to support with professional development, academic, or graduate school prep related needs. Additionally, AMP mentees interested in the UNC MAC Program receive added support throughout the application process including an application fee waiver and priority fellowship consideration!

The deadline to apply has been extended and we are accepting applications on a rolling basis.
