The Wood Center for Real Estate Studies is excited to host our annual HiRE a Tar Heel Expo for real estate companies seeking to hire undergraduate students on Friday, Sept. 11 at Steven D. Bell Hall. This event provides the best opportunity for employers to connect with real estate-focused students to share information about your company and any internship and full-time opportunities. The Wood Center is the go-to resource at UNC for real estate talent, with a student population of 200+ students anticipated to recruit in real estate for full-time and junior year internship roles during the 2026-2027 academic year. We hope you can join us on Friday, Sept. 11 for networking and recruiting with our Tar Heel real estate talent!
Registration will open on July 1 and close September 3.
Who is invited?
- Employers who are hiring for commercial real estate positions.
- Seniors recruiting for commercial real estate full-time roles, sophomores and juniors recruiting for commercial real estate internships and first-year students interested in exploring commercial real estate as a field.
What is the schedule?
Friday, September 11 | 9 a.m. — 1 p.m.
Steven D. Bell Hall
- 9-10 a.m. – Recruiting Expo table setup
- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Recruiting Expo
- 1-2 p.m. – Recruiting Expo table breakdown/clean up
What is the cost for employers?
$350 per company
What is included with the $350 registration fee?
- Three company representatives are welcome to attend to network with students and staff your table
- A light breakfast for employers
- Coffee and drink service throughout the event
- Parking Validation
- One table during the Recruiting Expo portion of the event
- A resume book of all students registered for the event
- Inclusion in our HiRE a Tar Heel Expo Book, an electronic resource provided to students that includes your company’s information, representative contact information and links to your company’s website for open positions.
