Michael J. Meredith teaches classes about professional communication, leadership, artificial intelligence (AI) in business writing, presentation skills, consulting skills, international business and teaming.
Through his teaching, he helps future and current leaders with strategy and communication. He actively integrates experiential learning and technology into his teaching, creating opportunities for students to work directly with businesses and advance their professional skills.
He teaches in the Undergraduate Business, MBA and MAC programs (in-person and online), STAR and UNC Executive Development. He also is a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Faculty Fellow for the Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Dr. Meredith’s research relates to areas within strategy and communication, leadership, AI, pedagogy innovation, experiential learning, international business, selling and mega trends.
He is on the editorial review boards for Global Advances in Business Communication and Business and Professional Communication Quarterly. He is a recurrent manuscript reviewer for California Management Review.
His professional experience includes positions in consulting, management and sales. He is a fellow for a leadership consultancy, engages in consulting and coaching projects, and assists in advisory roles for multiple organizations. He has consulted with executive, corporate, government and defense clients in the U.S., Europe and South America.
He received his PhD in Communication from Bowling Green State University, MBA from Ohio University and dual bachelor’s degrees from Ohio University.
