Let STAR students solve your challenge

STAR

Do you have a pressing business challenge that talented business students could address?

STAR (Student Teams Achieving Results) at UNC Kenan-Flagler can help. It has offered consulting services to corporations to develop innovative, data-driven and actionable recommendations to domestic and global business challenges for over 15 years.

STAR is seeking corporate partners. It matches teams of five to seven MBA and Undergraduate Business students with corporate partners to solve real business challenges. Each team is guided by a dedicated and experienced faculty advisor and follows proven approaches to address complex business issues.

To explain how a STAR team could help you address a business problem, the program is hosting virtual information sessions on June 22, July 21 and Aug. 5. Register here for one of the five STAR information sessions for potential corporate partners.

STAR student teams can tackle a range of business challenges including:

  • Research and identify new growth and market opportunities to address the reduction in business caused by the pandemic
  • Survey new generations of consumers and develop innovative marketing strategies
  • Analyze and recommend operational efficiency
  • Gather data and propose effective supply chain management practices for organizations experiencing changes in consumer demand

STAR teams have identified new opportunities for Coca-Cola in Asia, helped NASCAR reach new audiences, crafted an innovative solution to a sustainability issue for Procter & Gamble. Other clients have included KIND Healthy Snacks, Red Hat and GSK.
