Andre Martin

  • William Bryant (MBA ’23) was named UNC Health’s chief financial officer, overseeing the finances of 15 hospitals, 19 campuses and 900 clinics across North Carolina. Bryant is scheduled to receive MBA in the fall.
  • Students met the donors supporting their UNC Kenan-Flagler journey at the 13th annual Donors and Scholars Celebration hosted by the Office of Advancement. Tomer Crawford (BSBA ’23) is a first-generation college student who said that without the James Wilford Clark Jr. Undergraduate Scholarship he would have been “constantly worrying about how I am going to fund my education.”
  • Andre Martin (PhD ’23) tells the Carolina Graduate School magazine what he wished he had known when he began his doctoral program.
  • David Soltani (BSBA ’24), Paul Cabin (BSBA ’25), Tia Chawla (BSBA ’25) have been named to the latest Phillips Ambassadors cohort.  Phillips Ambassadors will travel to India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand in the summer and fall of 2023.
  • Fencer Will Palazzolo (BSBA ’23) has received a UNC Scholar-Athlete Top Ten Senior Award, which honors the five men and five women graduating with the highest grade point averages among student-athletes in all 28 varsity sports.

Thank you to the many alumni who returned to the UNC Kenan-Flagler campus for Alumni Weekend under Carolina blue skies. Don’t forget to save the date for the next Alumni Weekend: April 25-27, 2024.

  • The 2023 UNC Real Estate Conference, hosted by the Leonard W. Wood Center for Real Estate Studies, took over the Dean E. Smith Center.
    Panelists explored retail, hospitality and office markets and the overall economic outlook for the real estate agency. Bob Faith, founder and CEO of Greystar, a global leader in rental property investment and management, gave the keynote address.
  • Jocelyn Wang (BS ’26) celebrated her team’s first-place finish at UNC Kenan-Flagler’s inaugural Undergraduate Alpha Competition, a collaboration between the Center for Excellence in Investment Management, MBA Alpha Challenge, Smart Women Securities club and the Fixed Income Association.

  • Patricia Collins, associate director of MBA Global Programs, honored students completing their global exchange program: “Go off into the world, make your exchange mom proud!”
  • Congrats to the inaugural cohort of 16 fellows who graduated from Líder, a leadership program for Latinx undergraduate students across North Carolina. Líder was co-founded by Kevin Ortiz (MBA ’23) and Marcela Torres-Cervantes, assistant director of the Carolina Latinx Center.
