At these competitions, you apply industry and technical knowledge, showcase your investment ideas and strategic thinking to the investment community at large, receive real-time feedback from experienced investment professionals, network with like-minded peers and professionals as well as interview to secure internship and full-time job offers in investment management.

UNC Kenan-Flagler Student Highlights, 2020–2025
Over the past five years, UNC Kenan-Flagler student teams have delivered consistently strong performances in major investment and pitch competitions, especially at the Alpha Challenge.
- 2021: Student teams placed second in both the equities and credit brackets at the Alpha Challenge.
- 2022: UNC Kenan-Flagler achieved a standout showing, taking first place in both the equities and credit brackets at the Alpha Challenge.
- 2023: Teams earned second and third place in the credit bracket and were also equity finalists at the Alpha Challenge.
- 2024: UNC Kenan-Flagler teams took first and third place in the equity competition.
- 2025: The UNC Kenan-Flagler equity team placed third.
