Saman Lagzi’s research interests are in the areas of revenue management, and pricing and healthcare operations management.

His research focus is on integrating data analytics into the process of decision-making. He uses data, and designs ways to use data, to better guide the decision-making process.

Dr. Lagzi’s teaching interests are in the areas of operations management, data analytics and machine learning.

His papers have been published in such journals as Management Science and Journal of Operations Management.

Dr. Lagzi joins UNC Kenan-Flagler from Wilfrid Laurier University.

He received his PhD in operations management and statistics from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He received his master of mathematics degree in combinatorics and optimization from the University of Waterloo and his BS in industrial engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
