Hello everyone, my name is Joseph Barile. I’m currently a Vice President at BlackRock’s Global Fund & Accounting Services group, supporting Real Estate Private Equity and Debt funds. I’ve previously worked at Ernst & Young, Clarion Partners and SS&C all based in New York City. I’m an identical twin and enjoy playing guitar, writing music, reading, cooking, lacrosse and working out. I am a life-long Tar Heels fan.

Currently living in New York City, Jeremiah DeNonno is a Vice President of Product Development at an Investment Bank in Manhattan. He has been serving the finance industry for over 14 years. Jeremiah is a 2014 graduate of the MBA@UNC, Kenan-Flagler’s innovative online MBA, and earned a BS from Penn State University in 2004. Jeremiah is also engaged in entrepreneurial pursuits in the restaurant, nightlife, and spirits industry in New York City. In his spare time, Jeremiah mentors young professionals, volunteers for the U.S. Africa Children’s Fellowship, and enjoys collecting antique memorabilia.

My most memorable moment at UNC Kenan-Flagler was when I first stepped onto the UNC campus in September of 2016. My undergraduate degree was at Boston University, which is a very urban campus. I was taken aback at the beauty of the campus and it finally hit home that I was really going for my MBA. I had been out of school for 16 years and getting my MBA seemed like a daunting task. The fellow students I met at orientation for MBA@UNC were all so friendly, intelligent, accepting, and from so many walks of life. I keep in touch with most of them today and feel that I truly became part of something special when I became a Tar Heel!

Originally from Charlotte, NC I moved to New York City after graduating from UNC in 2012. I’ve worked in Healthcare Investment Banking for 6 years and enjoy learning about the different sub-sectors of healthcare as well as the key stakeholders within the industry. When I’m not in the office working on deals you can typically find me exploring various restaurants across all the different neighborhoods in the city (and also writing Yelp reviews about each). My favorite hobbies within the city include playing soccer and long bike rides. Outside the city, I love scuba diving and hiking. In scuba, I love the surreal and thrilling feeling that hits ever time you descend (as if walking on the moon) and also the opportunity to see all the various wildlife up close (no dive is ever the same).
