The Student Teams Achieving Results (STAR) consulting program, established in 2005, is proud to have graduated over 3,000 alumni. While the STAR leadership is constantly innovating to stay relevant and impactful, the program’s mission hasn’t changed: to provide unique and powerful learning experiences for students and produce actionable insights for companies and nonprofits. STAR invites alumni to reconnect and learn about various ways to engage with STAR.

Participants will examine the importance of articulating a shared purpose; defining a clear, compelling ownership vision; and creating explicit goals for growth, liquidity, and control. The course examines how ownership priorities influence strategy, capital allocation, governance structures, and leadership selection over time. The program will focus on clarifying ownership roles, decision rights, and governance to support effective communication and long-term continuity.

The Forum will be a hands-on experience to help you step away from your daily responsibilities to focus on the future of your family enterprise. Explore multiple aspects of your family enterprise: ownership, family, business, and self – to determine what is working well and where you may need to make changes in the future. Learn from business school faculty with the goal of applying current research and thought leadership to your own family enterprise. Build relationships with other families. Leave with tangible next steps and an accountability plan. The Forum will be helpful for owners of family enterprises at every stage of growth. Participants will find it useful to bring multiple family members from more than one generation. Non-family executives will also benefit from this program.
