UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School's tax symposium is designed to bring together leading tax scholars from economics, accounting, finance, law, political science and related fields. The symposium will be held April 9 & 10, 2026. Due to high demand and limited seating capacity, attendance is by invitation. Papers should be well developed, but at a stage where they can still benefit from the group’s discussion. We welcome research involving a wide variety of taxes, including taxes not based on income. Please submit a PDF version of the paper by Dec. 15, 2025 to taxsymposium@kenan-flagler.unc.edu. Papers will be selected by Feb. 1, 2026.
8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. EDT Friday Conference Center, 100 Friday Center Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27517
