Scott Wallace studies judgment and decision-making processes and their implications for effective marketing, product design and consumer goal pursuit.
His research interests include gamified product design, personal quantification and progress tracking, consumer self-regulation and online word-of-mouth in marketing.
His work has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.
Dr. Wallace teaches courses in marketing principles, strategy and professional selling.
He joined UNC Kenan-Flagler from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington, where he taught courses in marketing strategy, consumer behavior and decision-making across the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels.
He received his PhD in marketing from Duke University and his BS in commerce from the University of Virginia.
