Jason Jenny has deep experience in leading organizations, with over 25 years of mentoring, leading and teaching in industry.
He has taught operations courses at UNC Kenan-Flagler in the Online MBA Program since 2014.
Dr. Jenny served in a variety of roles for Cree Inc/Wolfspeed Inc from 1997 to 2024, including operations roles leading engineering, equipment, manufacturing, capacity, capital planning, inventory control, planning and supply chain, and operational excellence.
His experience included a two-year assignment in Guangdong, China, directing a wholly owned Chinese factory, managing a Malaysian subcontractor, directing a 250-person manufacturing team in the U.S., and working in research and development with responsibility for multimillion-dollar Department of Defense contracts.
He earned his PhD and MS in materials science and engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, his MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler and his BS in materials science and engineering from Purdue University.
