UNC Kenan-Flagler's Steve Miller will outline a framework for next generation family business leaders who are contemplating joining their family's enterprise or who are currently participating in their family's enterprise- as an employee or as an owner.

The presentation will include a discussion of the different types of successors, the impact of styles of incumbent leaders, and the importance of process during succession. Thiago Penido, MBA '09, will participate in the webinar to share his journey to leadership in his family’s enterprise, The Serveng Group, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Shared Tables: A Triangle Symposium on Local and Global Food Studies

This two-day event provides a forum for both local and global experts to explore key issues related to food studies in an inter-disciplinary academic and community gathering. The first day at the University of North Carolina will explore key issues related to food and sustainability from a global perspective. The second day at Duke will focus on sustainable food systems and food cultures both nationally in the United States and locally here in the Triangle.
