Scholarship Recipient Consent to Share Directory Information

As a Scholarship recipient, you are receiving support from generous and caring donors who are committed to supporting the University and helping students achieve their dreams.  Donors are often interested in receiving a list of recipients of their funds. This process helps us ensure donor support so you and other students can continue to benefit. We are asking for your permission to share your Directory Information with your donor, should they request it. Directory information can include: name, hometown, academic level, and major.

Why We Need Permission

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. Schools are not allowed to release any financial aid or FAFSA information without your permission.

While your name is considered to be “public directory” information, your status as a “need-based” scholarship recipient is not. With your permission, we would like to share your name with your generous scholarship donors.
