Jon Nichols is a member of the MBA class of 2022, focusing on Energy and Corporate Finance. Prior to school, Jon worked as an energy engineer in the commercial building sector. Originally from Virginia Beach, Jon earned a B.S. in Economics and Integrated Science & Technology from James Madison University. Jon will work in Duke Energy’s Rate Design and Strategy practice for his summer internship.

Liz Harvell is a member of the MBA class of 2022, focusing on Sustainable Enterprise and Corporate Finance. Prior to graduate school, Liz worked in the non-profit sector as communications manager at the Environmental Finance Center. Liz is originally from North Carolina, and earned a B.A. of Business Journalism from UNC in 2017. Liz will work as an Investment Banking Summer Associate at Guggenheim Securities for her summer internship, and hopes to work in the power and renewables investment space after business school.

Conrad Chen is a member of the MBA class of 2022. Prior to school, he served five years in the US Navy. Originally from Connecticut, he earned a BSc in Economics from the United States Naval Academy. Conrad is headed to Duke Energy for his summer internship.
Conor Helfrich is a member of the MBA class of 2022, pursuing a concentration in Energy and Family Enterprise. Originally from Massachusetts, Conor graduated from Tufts University in 2016, where he was 2x National Champion lacrosse player, 3x All-American, and Scholar All-American. This summer, Conor will join his family’s business, Helfrich Brothers Boiler Works in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Helfrich Brothers is an industry leader in power generation services and has been family owned since 1948.
Eric Schwartz is a member of the MBA class of 2022, pursuing concentrations in Energy and Sustainable Enterprise. Prior to school, Eric worked for Fidelity National Information Services as an analyst on their Post Trades Services team. Originally from Raleigh, Eric earned a BSBA in Marketing from North Carolina State University. Eric will be working with the business planning team at Tennessee Valley Authority this summer.

Spero Poulimenos is a member of the Class of 2022 at UNC Kenan-Flagler, concentrating in Energy and Capital Markets. Prior to school, Spero worked in the energy industry holding various roles as a natural gas trader/scheduler and consultant at two small private firms. Originally from Charlotte, NC, Spero earned a B.S. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. This summer he will be interning with Duke Energy on their natural gas team.

Alex Tylecote is a member of the Class of 2022 at UNC Kenan-Flagler, focusing on Corporate Finance and Energy. Before entering Kenan-Flagler, Alex spent 10 years working in the foreign policy and international development sectors in the Middle East. Alex will work at Marathon Petroleum in their asset development team for his summer internship.

John MacAree is a member of the MBA class of 2022, focusing on Energy and Operations Management. Prior to Kenan-Flagler, John worked in the sustainability industry in Dubai and London, focusing mainly on the solar and anaerobic digestion spaces. Originally from Milton Keynes, John holds a BS in Political Science from Arizona State University.
Full Time MBA Class of 2022. Received a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Adacemy. Served for 7 years as a Nuclear Engineer and Communications Officer on board a Los Angeles Class Submarine in the U.S. Navy. Most recently, led teams as a project manager for an electrical contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area. This summer, I will be interning with Nextera Energy Resources Renewable Development Team in Juno Beach, Fl.
Whitt Clement is a member of the MBA Class of 2022, pursuing concentrations in Corporate Finance and Energy. Before business school, Whitt worked at EIG Global Energy Partners as an Assistant Vice President on the Capital Development team and at Energy Transfer as an Analyst on the Commercial Operations team. Originally from Richmond, Whitt earned his B.A. in Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia and his M.S. in Commerce at the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce. Whitt will be working at Barclays on the Global Natural Resources team this summer.
