  • + Digital Marketing Manager

    We are seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketer with experience across digital marketing channels, ad-technology, agency management and optimization of campaign performance. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Manager position will play a key role in the development of the strategy and execution of digital marketing campaigns.

    The role will manage the day-to-day digital marketing efforts and contribute to the digital marketing strategy across paid, owned and earned media types including social media, search, email, website and more. Efforts will focus on building brand awareness and providing support for individual programs through targeted marketing campaigns, and other community engagement initiatives as needed.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop a multi-channel marketing strategy in collaboration with the Director of Marketing
    • Manage the editorial calendar and work cross-functionally within Executive Development and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School to identify priorities and key initiatives
    • Effectively maintain and build relationships with internal teams, external agencies, marketing partners, and IT to develop and execute successful digital marketing programs supporting our strategic objectives
    • Plan, execute, and analyze the day-to-day online social media efforts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) to drive awareness and registrations and to encourage community engagement through timely responses
    • Partner with external agencies on planning, strategy and execution of search, retargeting and prospecting campaigns
    • Oversee deployment of regular email campaigns and website content to continually engage target audiences
    • Develop program content for website, social media channels, emails, display and search
    • Curate faculty thought leadership content to be used in lead generation efforts; liaise with outside writers, videographers, etc.
    • Manage closely to specific channel budgets and performance targets, ensuring accuracy, precision, and effectiveness
    • Analyze data, assess advertising KPIs and identify media and platforms best suited to reach our target audiences for effective advertising planning
    • Research industry trends and stay on the cutting edge of the changing data enabled media landscape

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Candidate must possess exceptional communication, presentation and relationship management skills; a deep cross-functional collaboration is required with a willingness and ability to work with multiple groups within Executive Education and across campus. Experience in a professional marketing/agency environment, along with developing, planning, and executing digital customer acquisition campaigns, and end-to-end reporting performance and business impact is preferred.

    Candidate should have a strong knowledge of marketing and analytics platforms (Adobe, DoubleClick, Facebook Business Manager, Insights, LinkedIn, Google Adwords), proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), exceptional organizational skills and an extraordinary attention to detail, and the ability to project manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

    Working on multi-channel campaigns across variety of programs, the ideal candidate must possess superior project management skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent analytical ability, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects with numerous agencies and deadlines.

    A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or English, and a minimum of five years of experience in digital marketing or a related field.

  • + Director of Business Development

    The Director of Business Development position is a client development role with responsibility for sourcing and cultivating corporate relationships with potential custom executive development revenue opportunities. The position will work to formulate and strengthen new client relationships through consultative discussions and interactions with corporate executives. The role reports to the President of Executive Development.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Identify and develop relationships for executive development business in a variety of industries with targeted companies, alumni contacts, and other sources as appropriate
    • Engage with C-level executives to understand the company’s human capital development needs and to provide innovative services that meet those needs
    • Plan, conduct, and follow-up on joint client calls with faculty or other staff to represent UNC
    • Actively solicit RFPs and/or respond to unsolicited RFPs by developing proposals that accurately represent the Business School’s capabilities and meet the needs of the requesting organization. Work with program directors and faculty to develop proposed curriculum for each proposal
    • Communicate effectively and credibly with clients, faculty, and staff on the appropriate design, development, and delivery of programs
    • Responsibility to maintain current information on leads, contacts, proposals, utilizing the CRM system
    • Intellectual capability to identify and share relevant research and trends in the market
    • Ability to project a professional manner with self-assurance, conscientiousness, and confidence in dealing with others
    • Partner with the President and other team members to identify and achieve the organization’s strategic priorities
    • Mentor, teach and develop account directors and associate account directors
    • Develop collaborative working relationships with Kenan-Flagler and affiliate faculty members

    Qualifications and Experience:

    The successful candidate will possess strong sales, interpersonal skills, and a dynamic executive presence; a robust business, financial and strategic acumen; a history of creating and executing successful business development strategies and plans; and a record of exceeding revenue and growth goals. Success in the role requires strategic thinking, creativity, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and a record of quickly building credibility and trust with potential clients. An individual that thrives in a setting that rewards growth, values teamwork, and balances autonomy and accountability will be most successful.

    Candidates must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, the ability to quickly build credibility and relationships with all levels of leaders, an understanding of corporate and academic environments, a working knowledge of educational technologies and methodologies, and an understanding of the business development and leader development implications of different cultural contexts across the globe.

    A master’s degree in business or a relevant field is preferred. The ability to travel up to 40% of the time is required.

  • + Director, Faculty Network

    The Director, Faculty Network will be a member of UNC Executive Development’s leadership team responsible for strategically expanding a global faculty network to support our growth and enhance our work with clients.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Analyze the faculty network and identify areas of strong depth and breadth, areas of sufficient breadth and depth, and areas of weakness and new opportunity
    • Prioritize areas of weakness and new opportunities to address in the next 6, 12 and 18 months that is compelling to both internal and external stakeholders
    • Strengthen internal and external faculty members’ relationship with and connection to UNC Executive Development
    • Ensure accuracy of the faculty database and enhance its functionality and usability by colleagues across the organization
    • Create effective vetting and evaluation processes for faculty members
    • Identify and source faculty resources to address targeted learning outcomes in ongoing and new client programs
    • Partner with colleagues to coach and develop faculty members
    • Collaborate with colleagues to support business development and program design work
    • Build colleagues’ knowledge and understanding of faculty members’ capabilities and value to client work

Five or more years of experience in faculty recruiting or relationship management in an executive education or comparable environment.   • + Information Technology Consultant, Digital Learning

    We are seeking an Information Technology Consultant to work primarily with our digital learning executive programs. Our products are designed to help executive and emerging level business leaders advance their careers and be more effective in their roles.

    The IT Consultant will work in partnership with faculty and the instructional designers to deploy instructional materials in a digital learning environment. This individual will also support the day-to-day IT operations of our digital programs, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as well as assisting faculty, participants and staff with the digital learning program materials, distance collaboration, webinars, and digital learning tools. The IT Consultant will be a resource for new teaching approaches that facilitate and encourage greater participant interaction and engagement that is facilitated through a virtual classroom.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Technology Consultation and Instructional Support:

    • Consult with faculty and program staff to develop and maintain online and technology-enhanced courses
    • Assist in the creation, production and incorporation of technically advanced instructional course material
    • Work directly with the instructional designers and the video production team to create course content that accomplishes the objectives for the programs
    • Oversee the development, delivery, and usage of asynchronous learning tools and develop learning resources as well as advise on retooling of course segments for traditional and electronic delivery
    • Serves as the point of contact and provide technical support for distance collaboration tools such as videoconferencing, telepresence, Adobe Connect, and lecture capture

    Learning Management System:

    • Overall management for day-to-day operations of the Learning Management System which impacts all participants and faculty
    • Coordinates with the instructional design team to support faculty and participant use of the LMS and assistance in the development and support of faculty and participant learning opportunities in a variety of formats
    • Collaborates with staff to maintain accurate and timely communication to faculty, staff, and participants with regard to the LMS status and changes
    • Administers user access and permissions within the LMS
    • Audits and monitors data integrity within LMS

    Technical and Operational Support Services:

    • Provides support for all Executive Development instructional resources including but not limited to the LMS, Adobe Connect, video conferencing, and other technologies as needed
    • Participates in testing of new LMS tools, upgrades and patching, and documentation of testing results
    • Maintains and resolves issues as they arise and escalates issues when required
    • Provides rapid and optimal resolution of technical issues in quick succession with high quality and positive customer service, effective communications and strong working relationships with participants and colleagues
    • Keeps up with and develops expertise in emerging online learning technologies

    Qualifications and Experience:

    The selected candidate must have demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills in working with users to interpret needs and provide appropriate solutions. This position requires high-quality customer service on the phone, in person, and online, as well as group and individual training on the use of the LMS. Candidate should be proactive and self-motivated in order to support the diverse needs of faculty and participants.

    Candidate must have an associate's degree in computer information technology, computer technology integration, networking technology, or related areas and two years of experience in the IT field related to the position's role; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three years of experience in the IT field related to the position's role; or a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering from an accredited institution and one year of experience in the IT field related to the position's role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience working with LMS platforms, in particular Adobe Captivate Prime and Adobe Connect, is preferred.

  • + Program Assistant

    The Program Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support and operational support for executive development programs delivered in an in-person format.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • General office management duties
    • Arrange travel for domestic and international meetings
    • Assist with travel and expense reimbursement support as needed
    • Provide general administrative support for Directors and communicating with their clients and prospects as needed
    • Coordinate various client and prospect meetings
    • Program administrative support to include but not limited to assembling program materials, compiling program evaluations and providing direct program coverage and support as needed

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to juggle many stakeholder requests simultaneously
    • Well organized and highly flexible individual
    • High level of customer service
    • Ability to effectively manage deadlines for multiple priorities as well as exhibit excellent oral communication, telephone, and people skills
    • Attention to detail, good judgment, and demonstrated tact and diplomacy is very important
    • Due to the nature of our client base, the candidate must demonstrate flexibility and efficiency with a high degree of professionalism

    Qualifications and Experience:

    We are seeking an individual with expertise in leader development or a related field, and experience creating leader development programs or initiatives in global organizations. Strong candidates will have a successful track record of client management (external or internal) and exceptional collaboration skills within a team environment. Ability to work with and influence business executives is essential.

    The ideal candidate will have excellent oral, written, and presentation skills as well as strong interpersonal skills for working with C-level executives, business school faculty, and senior HR and business professionals.

    Candidates must hold a degree in business, education, or a related field, and have a minimum of five years of experience working in executive development. Five to 10 years of business experience is also required. A master’s degree in business or a relevant field is preferred. The ability to travel up to 40% of the time is required.

  • + Program Manager

    The Program Manager is responsible for the program management of executive development programs that are delivered in Chapel Hill, NC, other US locations, and global program locations. This individual serves as a primary customer interface with high-level corporate executive participants and manages all operational components of program delivery.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Establish good working relationships with clients and participants
    • Develop and maintain a highly professional executive development atmosphere and customer service level at all times with clients and individual executive participants
    • Interact extensively with clients and participants while programs are in session
    • Manage program expenses to established budget
    • Negotiate with suppliers to provide cost-effective services
    • Manage accounts payable and receivables
    • Contract with appropriate suppliers to obtain meeting space, lodging, meals, and program materials
    • During program delivery, serve as on-site project manager to ensure that all details are carried out correctly
    • Work with service providers to ensure the high quality of program operations
    • Provide participants with high quality materials in formats consistent with the branding of Kenan-Flagler and UNC
    • Communicate with participants and company officials to provide instructions and information concerning their participation
    • Develop program websites for use in distributing program information including logistics and materials
    • Coordinate program faculty and program director to drive the program planning process and post program feedback
    • Set timelines for faculty to follow
    • Provide faculty with background information on company, program and participants
    • Using strong project management skills, coordinate the process of multiple programs being delivered consecutively

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Preference for candidates with strong customer service orientation, excellent attention to detail, strong project management, and organizational skills. Experience working with global clients a plus.

    Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint desired. Experience in event management, corporate customer service, and training and development preferred. Minimum qualifications include an undergraduate degree and three years of administrative experience or experience in a related area. Requires overtime, with some evening and weekend work during program deliveries. Domestic and international travel (up to 25% of time) will be required.
