Tar Heel Business Academy Engage and Support

Past participants from the Tar Heel Business Academy, as well as UNC Kenan-Flagler students, play an important role in supporting the learning experience for Academy students.

Promote: Ambassadors

Past participants who promote the Academy through social media and peer-to-peer referrals as content creators or content amplifiers. In 2026, ambassadors represented 20 high schools across 6 states and 11 N.C. cities.

Coach: Peer Leaders

Past participants who return to the Academy to coach participant teams on their project for the week, drawing on their own experience in the program.

Teaching assistant

Teach: Teaching Assistant

Undergraduate business or MBA students who have completed the "Consulting Skills and Frameworks" course who act as an extension of faculty, giving feedback on student projects, helping teams prepare for final presentations, and serving as case competition judges.
