Mission Statement

The Kenan-Flagler Business Symposium's mission is to connect students, faculty and executives in order to foster professional development through engaging corporate culture and current business practices.

History

UNC Kenan-Flagler Professor Barry Roberts created Symposium in 1983 as a way to bring students closer to the business community. Since its inception, the event has grown dramatically and is one of the largest student-run events in the country and an annual highlight of UNC Kenan-Flagler.

The defining purpose is to help students begin to develop a sense of professionalism and to gain exposure to critical and contemporary, real-world issues—enhancing what students learn in the classroom. The event serves as the premier opportunity for Undergraduate Business students to network with business executives.
