Elad Sherf researches the causes and consequences of feeling fairly treated in the workplace and especially on why many supervisors fail to act fairly towards their subordinates. He also studies why managers often resist feedback – why they do not ask for input or ignore such input when it is offered to them.

His teaching interests include leading teams, creativity and creative thinking, workplace fairness and proactive behavior at work

Leading management and psychology journals have published his research, including the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Personnel Psychology.

He serves as an associate editor of the Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. 

Prior to pursuing his PhD, he served in the Israeli Air Force for four years, and practiced law in Israel for three years.

He received his PhD in organizational behavior from the University of Maryland, his MBA from the AGSM MBA Program at the University of South Wales in Australia, and his LLB, BA and LLM from the Reichman University in Israel.
