Utkarsh Pandey - President
Utkarsh graduated in Mining Engineering from IIT-Dhanbad in 2013 and worked as a Global Operations Consultant for 4 years at Andritz AG, helping clients optimize their supply chain processes and internal operations using lean strategies and automation technologies. At KFBS, Utkarsh is pursuing a dual concentration in Strategy and Operations Management. This summer, he will be working as a Sr. Program Manager-Intern at Amazon in Seattle, WA. He is also an active member of Latin American Business Association at KFBS and likes to spend his free time reading, hiking, and playing squash, soccer, and cricket.
Shaojing (Steven) Lu - VP of Finance
Shaojing is pursuing a dual concentration in Corporate Finance and Operation Management with an intension of joining a Energy company after Graduation. Before joining Kenan-Flagler, he worked as a buyer for a autotmotive company in China, Japan and US. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Michigan State University in 2013. This summer he will work at Global Procurement Team for National Grid in Boston area, MA.
Usha Kantheti - VP of Communications
Usha is originally from India, but grew up in Atlanta, GA, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, she spent 7 years working in Operations and Manufacturing at GE. This summer, Usha will be interning at Amazon in Seattle, WA, in their Retail Leadership Development Program. In her free time, Usha enjoys hiking, cooking, and traveling to new places.
Silas Baird - VP of Corporate Relations
Prior to KFBS, Silas worked in supply chain, transportation, and logistics for the CPG and B2B service industries. From Chattanooga, TN originally, he ventured to Syracuse, NY for his undergraduate studies and then lived in Princeton, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, and back home in Tennessee for a year prior to taking the plunge and moving to sunny Chapel Hill. His concentration interests are focused on the intersections of operations, finance, and forecasting.
Anuj Chowdhary - VP of Learning & Development
Anuj is pursuing a dual concentration in Corporate Finance and Energy with an intension of joining a Leadership Development Program after Graduation. Before joining Kenan-Flagler, he worked as a Proposals & Estimation Engineer for a refining equipment manufacturing company in Pune, India. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT Trichy) in 2014. This summer he will be a part of Consumer Banking Summer Associate Program for Bank of America in Charlotte, NC.
Shashank Tangirala - VP of Learning & Development
Prior to KFBS, Shashank spent 10 years at a beverage packaging manufacturer in Turlock, California. Originally from India, he completed his Bachelors from Anna University and his Masters in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech. He is intersted in pursuing a career in Operations, logistics and supply chain management.
Soraya Alivandi - VP of Integration & Alumni Relations
Soraya Alivandi is concentrating in Operations Management and Sustainable Enterprise. Soraya graduated from Tufts University with majors in International Relations and the Arabic Language in 2011. Since then, Soraya has worked in the defense, higher education, and technology industries. Prior to her start at Kenan-Flagler, Soraya worked at her alma mater as a technology project manager, supporting the fundraising division of the university. In addition, Soraya played an active role in the Junior League of Boston, a women's service organization, leading a nutrition and wellness program for young girls in the Boston area. This summer, Soraya will be interning at PepsiCo in New York City, in a Global Procurement role.
