Our mission is to provide MBA students with enhanced career opportunities in the high-technology industry by sponsoring experiential learning opportunities and networking/recruiting events, and by building UNC Kenan-Flagler’s reputation as a source of technology business leaders.

Leadership Team

McAdamsEmily McAdams - President

Emily graduated in 2010 from Cornell University with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. After graduation, she joined Cisco System as a software engineer. She later worked in roles in technical marketing and program management before leaving to pursue her MBA. She will be interning this summer as a Summer Associate in Strategy & Operations at Deloitte. She is very interested in how technology is transforming operations. When not working or in school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs.

SakaiAndre Sakai - VP of Learning & Development - Recruiting

Andre Sakai is from Brazil and is a 2019 MBA student concentrating in Marketing and Data Analytics. After graduating his B.A. in Business Administration, he was an entrepreneur, owning his own manufacturer of custom-made uniforms, direct managing the operational and financial areas of the company. He will be interning at Dell this summer pursuing a career in product management. Andre is a huge soccer fan, tech-addicted and loves to do barbecues. Contact: Andre_Sakai@kenan-flagler.unc.edu

OliveiraArtur Oliveira - VP of Learning & Development - Education

Artur is originally from Recife, Brazil and went to high school and college in Madison, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Management and Human Resources and Spanish Linguistics. After graduation he joined Google as a Program Manager in Learning & Development. During his time at Google he also was on the leadership team for the Talks at Google program, and during that time he had the opportunity to host a variety of speakers at Google. During the summer Artur will be working with a startup as a Product Manager. Outside of school, Artur enjoys traveling with his wife as much as possible.

StevensKevin Stevens - VP of Local Corporate Relations

Kevin grew up in Michigan north of Detroit and lived in Dayton, Ohio for the last seven years while attending the University of Dayton and working in the area. He earned a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and worked as a design engineer at an environmental engineering firm. At Kenan Flagler, Kevin is pursuing a Marketing concentration with a focus on product management in the technology sector. During the summer of 2018, Kevin will be joining the Dell marketing team for an internship. In his spare time, he enjoys being an electronic hobbyist, playing tennis, and exploring new regions while traveling.

Snehita Peddi - VP of West Coast Corporate RelationsPeddi

Snehita grew up in Hyderabad, India and graduated in 2014 from National Institute of Technology, Warangal with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. After graduation, she joined Microsoft India Development Center as a Software Engineer. During the summer of 2018, she will be interning as a Summer Associate in Digital McKinsey in the Atlanta office. In her free time, she loves hiking, running, going on long drives and is a big food enthusiast.

JessellJosh Jessell - VP of Finance

Josh is originally from Hillsborough, NC and graduated in 2014 from Juniata College with a degree in Information Technology and Investing. After graduation, he went to work for Fidelity Investments as a Systems Engineer. At Kenan-Flagler, Josh is concentrating in Management Consulting. He will be spending the summer of 2018 working in Corporate Strategy and Innovation for Eastman Chemical Company. In his spare time, Josh enjoys running, exploring Chapel Hill, and keeping up with the latest tech trends.

BaliAstha Bali - VP of International Experience

Astha grew up in multiple cities at India and graduated in 2013 from Miranda House in the University of Delhi with a degree in Economics. After graduation, she worked at an Indian food-tech unicorn called Zomato, where she worked in sales and marketing across the different products and services launched by the company. At Kenan-Flagler, she is pursuing a concentration in Marketing and Business Analytics. During the summer of 2018, she will be interning as a Retail Leadership Development Intern at Amazon in Seattle. In her free time, she loves all kinds of food, hiking, swimming, and reading books!

NandaPriyanka Nanda - VP of Communications

Priyanka is pursuing a dual concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Prior to business school, Priyanka worked as a Software Developer at OSIsoft LLC in California. She graduated with her MS in Computer Science from University of California, San Diego in 2014 and BE in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai, India in 2012. Priyanka will be working at Google in Mountain View, California this summer. In her free time, she loves hiking, dancing, swimming, and adventure sports.

Membership Benefits

At UNC Kenan-Flagler, we train our students with technology backgrounds to explore deeper business issues behind adoption and use of technology in organizations. We also encourage students with diverse non-engineering backgrounds to consider how companies can leverage information technology to make their businesses more efficient and effective. UNC Kenan-Flagler faculty research on IT related issues has been published in premier journals and is consistently rated best-in-class internationally. Faculty members consistently strive to incorporate their cutting edge research into the classroom.
