The program includes a final exam and a group project. A typical day of class is composed of class sessions and study period as well as group work in the afternoon. The program is complemented by several cultural events spread out over the two-week period.

The three-week program focuses on the following topics:

    • Monetary Integration in Europe: The Euro as Europe's Common Currency
    • Competing in European Markets

Courses taken on the WHU summer program will transfer back to UNC Pass/Fail. Achieving a grade of C or above will transfer back to UNC as a pass course, which will not affect UNC GPA. Students who receive any grade under C will fail the course and an F grade will transfer back to UNC, which will affect their UNC GPA. Though transfer credit for this program is Pass/Fail, future employers and graduate schools may also look at the WHU transcript, so grades are important. Full-time enrollment on this program is defined as full and completed enrollment in the Business Environment in Europe program. This program also fulfills Experiential Education and you will earn points towards the Kenan-Flagler Inclusive Global Leadership graduation requirement.
