Dean’s Fellows Student Committee

Our Student Committee works alongside business school leadership to shape the direction of the Dean’s Fellows program. The committee designs events, assists with first year Dean’s Fellows projects, and facilitates engagement between first- and second-year Fellows.

Christine (Hu) Barchick, Chair

Christine (Hu) Barchick

Christine (Hu) Barchick pursuing a concentration in Management Consulting with an enrichment in Sustainable Enterprise. Prior to business school, Christine was a Teach for America corps member, teaching third grade in rural North Carolina. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Christine earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard College in Economics with a secondary in Folklore & Mythology. Christine is passionate about developing future business leaders; she serves as a Teaching Assistant for the STAR (Student Teams Achieving Results) consulting practicum and Corporate Governance (Finance Policy) course.

Conor Murphy

Conor Murphy

Conor Murphy is pursuing concentrations in Finance and Management Consulting. Before returning to business school, Conor was an investment banker in New York City at EA Markets and Ansonia Partners, helping to build each into profitable businesses from the ground-up. Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Conor earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University, where he studied Classical Languages (Latin & Ancient Greek) and Economics.

Reinaldo Caravellas

Reinaldo Caravellas

Reinaldo Caravellas is pursuing concentrations in Management Consulting and Operations with enrichment in Data Analytics. Originally from Brazil, Reinaldo started his career in the new ventures sector while working as a part-time statistics professor. Before coming to UNC, worked in the Business Education sector for 5 years where he developed his passion for restructuring processes. He is passionate about Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) and is currently a Kenan Scholar doing research on this topic.

Caroline Schaberg

Caroline Schaberg

Caroline Schaberg is pursuing concentrations in Corporate Finance and Real Estate. Before returning to business school, Caroline worked in New York City and Washington, D.C. on the Social Velocity team at Bloomberg LP, using social media to find, verify, and distribute market-moving breaking news. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Caroline earned her BA in Business-Journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Taylor Henning

Taylor Henning

Taylor Henning is pursuing concentrations in Operations Management and Healthcare. Prior to returning business school she worked in healthcare consulting at Huron Consulting Group, implementing initiatives to save costs and improve efficiency in hospitals across the country. Taylor is a "double Tar Heel," having earned her Bachelor's of Science in Health Policy and Management from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She is originally from Overland Park, KS.

Eric Lichtinger

Eric Lichtinger

Eric Lichtinger is pursuing concentrations in Corporate Finance and Marketing. Eric has a background in neuroscience, worked in the biotech industry designing biosensors, and started a company in Mexico offering financial services to the unbanked. Eric grew up in Mexico City and has a BS and MS in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.

Dan Mwai

Dan Mwai

Dan Mwai is pursuing concentrations in Data, Digital Analysis, and Technology, and Sustainable Enterprise. Dan has a background in engineering and worked as a Head of Department at the Conservatory of music in Kenya prior to business school. He also sat in the management committee for the Nairobi Orchestra, implementing strategies to expand music appreciation across Eastern Africa. Dan is originally from Nairobi, Kenya.

Ursula Adams

Ursula Adams

Ursula is a dual-degree MD/MBA pursuing a Health Care Enrichment. She studied biology at the University of Chicago and has since been heavily involved in education and curricular development. After business school, she will pursue a residency in general surgery with plans to incorporate her MBA into an educational leadership position. She grew up in Charlotte, NC.
