IKF Frequently Asked Questions

When will I learn if I have been invited to attend IKF?

Invitations to attend Inside Kenan-Flagler will be made on a rolling basis via email. Applicants invited to attend will receive notification via email. Early applications are encouraged since seats may go quickly.

Will I be able to attend an MBA class session?

Yes, you will be able to attend a class and take a tour of our facilities on Friday, December 6th as part of the IKF event agenda.  The Campus Visit Program and a campus tour will be available to anyone who chooses to arrive early on Thursday, December 5th (an optional day).   If you are interested in attending the optional Thursday events, we encourage you to schedule your visit by logging into our MBA Application Portal and selecting "Schedule an Interview or Campus Visit". You also may want to reach out to one of our MBA Ambassadors prior to your visit.

Our faculty, staff and students will be integrated into the entire Inside Kenan-Flagler weekend agenda. Those not able to attend on Thursday will have an opportunity to experience the classroom environment at other points during the weekend.

Will I be able to have my MBA admissions interview during IKF?

Yes, IKF participants are encouraged to interview while they are in town. Once you have received your IKF invitation, you should contact Barbara Ann Aversano to schedule your interview for either Friday, December 6th or Saturday, December 7th.  If you would like to interview on Thursday, December 5th, you can schedule your interview yourself by logging into our Application Central site and selecting "Schedule an Interview or Campus Visit". Interview slots will be reserved for IKF participants until mid-October.

Will I be required to participate in all IKF weekend activities?

The weekend is designed to give you a comprehensive overview of UNC Kenan-Flagler's offerings. Your active participation throughout the entire weekend is integral to the experience. Therefore, you are expected to attend all sessions on Friday and Saturday.
