Diversity Weekend

Friday, October 26 - Saturday, October 27, 2018

Hosted by Alliance of Minority Business Students (AMBS), Students of the UNC Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, Pride Club, Veterans Association and MBA Admissions & Student Recruitment  

Immerse yourself into the UNC Kenan-Flagler community with a two-day diversity experience for prospective underrepresented minorities from historically underrepresented populations in business school and the boardroom, such as African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, LGBTQ and military candidates.

During this event, you will see firsthand the resources that are available towards the diversity and inclusion at UNC for our MBA students. You will have the opportunity to tour our facilities and the city of Chapel Hill in addition to hearing from members of the UNC Kenan-Flagler community during panels and interactive experiences.  

We welcome all who share our commitment to diversity to join us at Diversity Weekend. 

Attendees will:

  • Take part in interactive panels and workshops
  • Get admissions, financial aid and career management tips
  • Network with alumni and current students
  • Enjoy social activities with current students 
Important details:
  • Meals will be provided by UNC Kenan-Flagler during Diversity Weekend.
  • Attire for the weekend is business casual.
  • Participants are responsible for all travel and travel expenses to and from Chapel Hill.
  • Discounted accommodations will be offered at various hotels in the area Thursday and Friday nights.
  • Participation in Diversity Weekend has no bearing on MBA admissions decisions.


If you attend Diversity Weekend, you will have an opportunity to complete your admissions interview for the full-time MBA program on Friday, October 26th. Details about scheduling your interview are in the registration form.


Accommodations are not provided by the business school. For your comfort and convenience, we have made the following hotel room blocks. A limited number of rooms have been reserved at a special rate for this event. This is a busy weekend in Chapel Hill, we encourage you to book your room as soon as possible!

The McColl Building and Kenan Center at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School are the locations for the events on Friday and Saturday.
