If you are interested in being a CSE coach
Please contact Tracy Triggs-Matthews at by September 16th and supply the following:
- A brief biographical sketch explaining your current position and areas of expertise and/or interest, particularly relating to sustainability.
- Your current resume or CV
Coach/student matches will be made in November, to allow students time to arrange an initial contact interview with their mentor in November/December.
There is no guarantee that a match will be made.
Once matched with a student, you will be asked to contact them to begin the conversation. You will send a brief invitation to contact you via your
preferred mode (phone, email, in person), after which the student will be primarily responsible for maintaining contact.

Who can be a coach?
Anyone with a current position or background in a sustainability field can apply to be a career coach. No official
affiliation with UNC is required.

How much of my time will the program take?
Time commitment varies and can be largely determined by the coach and student. It can be as little as one hour a month.

What is the timeframe of the program?
The CSE Career Coaching Program officially runs from October to February, but the goal is to develop a mutually
beneficial, long-lasting relationship between student and coach.
