Executive Director of Development
Gerdts received his bachelor's degree from Carolina in May 2000 with majors in History and Dramatic Art. He began his development career in January 2002 at Manhattan Theatre Club where he worked on five annual fund campaigns and a capital campaign to restore Broadway's Biltmore Theater. He then moved to higher education fundraising in April 2006 when he started work at American Friends of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Gerdts returned to Carolina in January 2007 as Director of Young Alumni for Carolina Annual Fund within the University´s Central Development office. He then moved to Kenan-Flagler as a major gifts officer in May 2008 before assuming his current position in September 2010.
