Ashley Mohney - President
Ashley grew up in Atlanta, GA and completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She started her career working in sales for the leading event management SaaS company--Cvent, Inc.—before transitioning into business development and then working as a leader in their marketing partnerships division. Currently, Ashley is grateful to be back in Chapel Hill as a Double Tar Heel and plans to pursue marketing for her career post-MBA. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, visiting some of the many great spots North Carolina has to offer, and cheering on the Tar Heels men’s basketball team!
Amanda Sirianni - Executive Vice President
Amanda grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and completed her undergraduate degree in Economics and French at Bates College. Prior to business school, Amanda worked as a Senior Analyst for the IBM Center for Applied Insights, IBM’s outward-facing research center. In this role, Amanda focused on IBM’s analytics business, designing and publishing new research to engage clients in emerging big data trends. Amanda also developed marketing campaigns to deploy study assets across digital channels. Currently, Amanda is pursuing a career in brand management. In her free time, Amanda has been busy planning her wedding, cheering on the Tar Heels, and exploring Chapel Hill.
Amy Cornelius - VP of Finance
A self-proclaimed southerner, Amy was born and raised in western MD and spent her undergraduate years at the University of Maryland studying Accounting and Operations Management. Prior to joining Kenan-Flagler, Amy spent four years in auditing before moving to her dream city, Charleston, SC, to work as a management consultant for JD Edwards ERP systems. It was during her time working with large, international companies that Amy discovered her interest in marketing. She is pursuing a post-MBA career in brand management and is excited to work for The Clorox Company this upcoming summer. In her free time, Amy enjoys destressing with a glass of wine while learning to cook new recipes.
Jim Rosen - VP of Communications
Jim grew up in New Jersey and completed his undergraduate degree in Philosophy at Colgate University. He then worked at a start-up in the art world for five years, splitting time between New Jersey and New York, before deciding to switch careers and get his MBA. Jim will be returning to New Jersey for a summer internship in CPG marketing. In his free time, Jim loves listening to live music, getting outdoors, and cheering on the Tar Heels.
Robert Greer - VP of Corporate Relations
Robert is originally from Aldie, VA and completed his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at the University of Virginia. Prior to business school, he worked as an engineer in the semiconductor, CPG and pharmaceutical industries. He is interested in consumer products marketing and plans to pursue a career in brand management after business school. In his spare time, Robert enjoys watching college sports, participating in outdoor activities and sampling North Carolina craft beer.
Trevor Jakubek - VP of Learning & Development
Trevor is originally from Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2011 with degrees in Math and Economics. Prior to attending business school, he worked at a Minneapolis-based healthcare consulting firm where he assisted non-profit health systems develop and implement compensation and benefits programs. He plans to transition into a marketing role within consumer goods after graduation, and he will be spending the summer at The Hershey Company. In his free time, Trevor enjoys biking, drawing, and listening to music.
Amela Dybeli - VP of Shadow Days
Amela is originally from Tirana, Albania and graduated from Manhattan College, NY in 2009 with a major in Finance and minor in Marketing. Prior to business school, she accumulated seven years of experience as a senior tax consultant at Deloitte & EY Albania specializing in international tax. Amela is passionate about entrepreneurship and founded two small businesses while working as a tax consultant in Albania. This ultimately led to an MBA concentration in Marketing with an enrichement in Entrepreneurship. Amela's hobbies include anything retail, hunting for amazing food, tennis and interior design.
Thalia Boozell - VP of Shadow Days
Thalia grew up in Mexico City and later moved to North Carolina for her high school education. She attended Appalachian State University where she was pre-med and received a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Prior to business school, she worked for an auto finance company in Dallas, TX that specialized in subprime lending. Looking to enter the healthcare industry, she decided to pursue an MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler to make the career switch into marketing. After her MBA, Thalia intends to work in pharmaceutical marketing. In her spare time, Thalia enjoys working out, reading, and hiking.
Rebecca Benen - VP of Local Shadow Days
Rebecca Benen is a class of 2018 MBA student concentrating in Marketing. She is originally from Winston-Salem, NC and graduated from Duke University in 2008 with a double major in English and Theater Studies. Rebecca spent the previous 5 years working in digital marketing in the Broadway theater industry and is pursuing a career in technology.
Astrid Moresco - VP of Case Competitions
Astrid Moresco is originally from New York City and completed her undergraduate degree at Skidmore College in Upstate New York. She double majored in International Affairs and Consumer Behavior. In her previous life before business school, she worked for a luxury fashion startup in account management and a cosmetic startup in marketing. She plans to continue on her marketing track upon graduation focusing in Brand Management. In her free time she enjoys cooking (and eating), biking, and hiking.
Dan Johnson - VP of Case Competitions
Dan hails from Massachusetts and completed his undergraduate studies in Philosophy and Communications at Boston College. Prior to business school, Dan worked at Teach For America in Houston and Boston as both a teacher and recruiter. He plans to embark on a career in CPG Brand Management after business school and would like to eventually run his own business. Dan loves to hike and recently completed the Inca Trail with two Kenan-Flagler classmates.
Cody Hill - VP of First-Year Experience
Cody is originally from northern Virginia and studied Public Policy and Hispanic Studies at The College of William & Mary. After college he lived in Merida and Valencia, Spain for two years teaching high school English. He moved to Washington DC and worked in digital sales for three years for a well-funded start up company in the travel industry. Prior to business school he worked for a small consulting firm specializing in Hispanic and Multicultural consumer consulting. He'll be interning in Seattle in Amazon's Retail Leadership Development Program. He enjoys cycling, cooking, basketball, and singing karaoke.
