Hiro Hada - President
Hiro is originally from Tokyo, Japan. He majored Biotechnology at Tokyo Institute of Technology and also did master degree there, specializing in Bioengineering. During his master degree, he interned in Germany for three years and fell in love with German pilsner beer which eventually led him to pursue his career at Suntory Liquors, one of the Japanese beer giants. He worked there for 5 years as a product developer of beer and launched 6 new beer brands. Seeking to shift his career from engineer to general manager, he decided to join UNC Kenan-Flagler.
Walker Zhou - VP of Finance
Walker Zhou came from China. He has a undergraduate degree in Control Science. After graduation, he worked for Kraft Foods for almost 7 years and gained rich experience in operations and corporate finance. He decided to join UNC Kenan-Flagler after a heartfelt reception event in Shanghai. After his MBA, he plans to pursue a career in corporate finance.
Chanunya Chaimahaphruksa - VP of Communications
Chanunya is a big idea lover, a triple-bottom-line practitioner, and a health-and-wellness enthusiast. After receiving a BA in Communication Arts from Chulalongkorn University with first class honors, Chanunya joined JWT, a global advertising and marketing agency, where she led marketing campaigns for multinational and local clients. Chanunya is a leader in her community's grass-root food tourism projects with a social enterprise named PLAJAPIAN and is pursuing MBA at the UNC Kenan-Flagler in order to develop sustainable-oriented business models that will help empower women leadership in Asia and promote accessibility to high-quality education and healthcare.
Yuwen Li - VP of Corporate Sponsorship
Yuwen Li received BA in Public Administration at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Prior to business school she was working at a global horse company based in UK. She helped the company with its entry strategy and marketing campaigns in China. She also gained experience in dealing with premium clients. Yuwen's career interest lies in marketing and investment management. She is also passionate about the career development for international students as well as women in business school.
Nobu Araki - VP of Socials
Nobu majored Political Science at Keio University, a private university in Japan. During the college days, he realized how enormous the effect of IT on society is. Then he entered NTT Data, a Japanese IT company. As a system engineer, he created and renovated the infrastructure of banking systems for 7 years. He operated a variety of social parties during his undergrad years, and uses those skills to add value to the UNC community.
