Daniel Potton - President
Daniel is a class of 2015 MBA student concentrating in Corporate Finance. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Daniel spent three years working in the nuclear power industry for AREVA. In his most recent role, Daniel worked on location for a client as an engineering discipline lead, overseeing a team of engineers, and was tasked with performing a cost-feasibility analysis for a previously abandoned nuclear site. Prior to this role, Daniel worked as an electrical design engineer modeling, simulating and analyzing power constraints within the nuclear industry. Daniel received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. This summer, Daniel will join Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Investment Bank in New York.
Lauren Pierce- VP of Finance
Lauren is a class of 2015 MBA student concentrating in Corporate Finance. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Lauren spent five years working for DHInfrastructure, an economic and financial consulting firm specializing in energy and water infrastructure. Lauren has worked with World Bank and Asian Development Bank clients in Mongolia, Armenia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Romania, Serbia, Nepal, and Ukraine. Most recently, she advised the Minister of Economy of Kyrgyz Republic on how to close a $1.3 billion, 10-year projected financing gap among state-owned power companies. Lauren has co-authored five World Bank publications on reforms and investment required to improve the financial viability of energy sector companies in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Lauren graduated Summa Cum Laude from Smith College with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. This summer, Lauren will join Morgan Stanley’s Investment Bank in New York.
Adam Coleman - VP of Communications
Adam is a class of 2015 MBA student concentrating in Corporate Finance and Real Estate. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Adam spent four years in the real estate finance industry. Most recently, he served as a Senior Analyst in the Strategic Investments group at LaSalle Investment Management where he analyzed and underwrote potential acquisitions for two of their separate client accounts. Prior to this role, Adam worked at General Growth Properties, Inc. as an Analyst in both the Capital Markets and Financial Services groups where he performed various property-level financial duties including refinancing, budgeting/forecasting, and development. Adam graduated from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. This summer, Adam will be joining Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Investment Banking group in New York.
Kevin Swiniarski - VP of Learning & Development
Kevin is a class of 2015 MBA student concentrating in Corporate Finance. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Kevin spent two years working as a management consultant at Casey, Quirk & Associates, where he worked with Casey Quirk's senior team to create business analyses and marketing strategies for traditional and alternative investment management firms.. Before joining Casey Quirk in 2011, Kevin was a Senior Associate/Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers with their global tax structuring team working in the healthcare, consumer products, and financial services industries. He assisted in developing transfer pricing strategies, including the allocation of management services, the transfer of IP, and value chain transformation services. Kevin received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Trinity College located in Hartford, CT. This summer, Kevin will join Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Investment Bank in New York.
